The Leominster Public Library is honored to have hosted an essay contest for local high school students in conjunction with Fitchburg State University's Community Read of The Girls of Atomic City by Denise Kiernan.

This is the second time that we have been able to run this program and are so proud of all of the students and grateful for their contributions.

All of the submissions for this year's contest were on the theme of "Women Making A Difference". Students were asked to write or make a video about a woman who has profoundly impacted their life. Written entries were judged on originality, interest, vocabulary, and grammar. Video entries were judged on originality of work, creativity, and clarity of message. The contest winners are listed below with links to their winning entries.
