Board of Trustees

The Leominster Public Library Board of Trustees is a six-member board appointed by the Mayor and subject to confirmation by the City Council. Two trustees are appointed annually to serve three-year terms. The Board organizes in February of each year by choosing from its own membership a chairman, vice-chairman, and secretary. The Board oversees the management and finances of the library, and is the policy-making authority for the library.

Trustees’ meetings are held monthly, usually on the 2nd Monday of the month. Special meetings are held during the first quarter of the year to develop the library’s budget. Four members of the Board constitute a quorum for the transaction of business.

A notice of all Trustees' meetings is posted at City Hall and listed on the library's Calendar of Events.

All Trustees' meetings are open to the public.
