Annually, proceeds from memberships, donations, and fund raising events support  the Museum Pass Program, informational, educational, and recreational programs for all ages, and the Library's Historical & Genealogical Collection. Additionally, the Friends have provided funding for numerous special projects in the Library including the recent expansion and renovation of the Library. New members are always welcome to join. FRIENDS HISTORY

In 1977, a small group of interested, dedicated volunteers joined together to form the Friends of the Leominster Public Library. This non-profit organization has grown from a few energetic individuals to 500+ individual, family and corporate members. These members, whether active or non-active, all provide the much needed "extra" support for the library. Over the past 25 years, the Friends have raised over $300,000 for the Leominster Public Library. In addition to raising funds for the library, the Friends lobby for important library issues and legislation on the federal, state, and local levels.
